TL;DR:  Think of categories as how the platform list you as a similar offer to product to what Club Members are searching.

Search

When Club Members are searching Club Deals or Club Merchants, we use categories to show businesses, products, and services that are in the same or adjacent category. For Example: Club Member is looking at Italian Restaurants, our system will recommend other restaurants starting with the most similar to Italian Restaurants.

Note about Categories

Adding categories that are irrelevant to your product or business will cause confusion and likely cause Club Members to ​misinterpret what it is that you offer. Make sure you are using relevant categories. Anytime you create a new Club Deal, you will be required to add at least one category.

Club Members can search and discover Club Deals from browsing by category.
